Heavenly Father,
Thank you so much for your love for us, and for the blessings that you have showered upon us. We know that you are all-powerful and faithful, and that we can trust you in all situations and circumstances. We pray now that you hear us as we pray for your blessing on this new home of ________. Be present in their home every day and in every way. Bless each part of this house, making the individual rooms and areas into a cohesive whole that truly makes the house a home.
Be present in the bedrooms, bringing rest and allowing our bodies to recharge and continue to be at their best for you and your glory.
Be present in the family room and other common areas, bringing fun, laughter, connectedness, and memories as we spend time together and build one another up in love.
Be present in the kitchen and dining room, bringing sustenance, family time, and special meals and events to create lasting memories and traditions that will build our relationships with one another and the guests who will be invited into the home.
Be present in the bathrooms, bringing cleanliness, relief, and opportunities to clean up and bring out our best selves as we honor our bodies as the temples that they are and that you have intended them to be.
Be present outside the home in the yard and space around it, no matter how big or small, bringing enjoyment and memories in all seasons and weather that may come. Grant us eyes to see the beauty and majesty of your creation, marveling in both the simplicity and complexity of all aspects of nature, including the grass, flowers, plants, animals, and more. Give us a holy curiosity to never lose the childlike wonder infused in us as we see you in the beauty of the outdoors.
In all of the spaces and places of this house, be present Lord. Make this house more than just a place to live with walls and a roof – make it a loving, safe, and nurturing home where there is always a sense and presence of family, community, and faith. In all that transpires in the days, weeks, months, and years to come in this home, be present and offer your protection over the house and those who reside in it.
