Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your love for us and for the beautiful world that you have created. We know that you are all-powerful and faithful, and that we can trust you with anything and everything. We pray now that you would make your guiding hand known as we pray for relief and restoration of this natural disaster in ________. Lord, we know that you have promised us that you would never destroy all life on earth, yet when disasters like this happen, it is hard for us to understand the how and why behind it. It is easy to become discouraged, depressed, hopeless, and even angry at events like this. Hear us as we cry to you as we seek answers and understanding. Help us to remember that you are in control and have the best plans for us and our world already made. We also ask that you be with all of those who are already helping and will help in the relief and restoration of this disaster. Give them the strength, resilience, and positive attitudes to do what they can to bring back a sense of order and calm. We know that you will continue to provide guidance and direction in this path, and that you will help bring about the best outcome for the world you created.
