Heavenly Father,
Thank you so much for your love for us and your Church. We know that you are all-powerful and faithful, and that we can trust you with anything and everything. We pray that you would be with us and our church congregation during these times of disagreement and dissension. As Jehovah Rapha, the Lord our healer, help any hurts and mistrust that are present and make your guiding hand known as work is done to seek restoration and forgiveness. And as your sons and daughters, and fellow members of this church, help us do our part to seek restoration in any broken or fractured relationships. Grant us all the ability to be better aligned, to see eye-to-eye, and to work together to fulfill the Great Commission as we continue our efforts to make disciples and lead those in our community to become fully devoted followers of Christ. Remind us that we are your servants, and that we are here to do your will and build your Church. Help us to stay strong in you and your Word, modeling ourselves after you, and in doing so also strengthen the bonds between us. Give us eyes that see, ears that hear, and mouths that speak truth, love, and kindness, fulfilling what your servant Paul wrote to the church in Ephesus:
“Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”
Ephesians 4:29-32 ESV
Thank you for being our perfect and gracious Father, for your promises to us, and for always completing the work you begin.
We pray this all in your holy name. Amen.
