Heavenly Father,
You are our good and faithful Father, and there is no one like you! From the first words recorded in scripture as you spoke our world into existence until today as you continue to speak to us, you continue to speak truth and life. We are in awe of you, and desire to live our lives in a manner worthy of our callings as your daughters and sons. Today, we ask you to be with us, and grant us the ability to use our words in a life-giving manner. We ask that you give us your power and the ability to take to heart and live out the words of Paul in Ephesians 4:29, and help us speak in such a way that no corrupting talk come from our mouths, but that we speak words that build up and give grace. Give us the ability to speak life-giving words to everyone with whom we interact today and in the days to come. Help us to be a blessing to others so that they see you in our lives, and realize that your power and Word are our ultimate source of truth and life.
No matter who we encounter or the situation in which we find ourselves, empower us with your Spirit in remaining strong and bold in our belief and proclamation of you. Through our actions and words, help bring more people to know you and your perfect saving grace, ultimately becoming fully devoted followers of Christ and also emboldened to speak your Word.
We thank you for all you have done for us and continue to do in our lives each and every day. We pray this all in Jesus’ holy name, Amen.
